'Exploding Candles'!!!!!!!!!

I was messing around with an exploding box kit the other day when I realised they were just the right size for my votives. Great packaging for a little extra gift for my friends and family this Christmas. The candles in the picture are my cranberry scented votives.

Advent Candles

I always hated carving down pillar advent candles, and tapered ones were quite hard to come by unless you look online, so I decided to make my own. Well here they are. It took me a few attempts to get them right. The moulds were really cheap - a couple of quid on ebay; and the numbers were applied on waterslide tranfers which I produced and printed from my pc. For my first post I thought I'd show you some of the candles I made for Halloween. We had a party and I gave these out to the guests. I also sold quite a few at Craft Fairs.
